Customer First Program Terms & Conditions

These Program Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) are entered into by Gartner Peer Insights™, d/b/a Gartner, Inc (“Peer Insights”) and you, the Technology Provider (“Technology Provider” or “You”).

By submitting your submission form and participating in the Program, you attest that you are an authorized signatory (Director level or higher) for your organization and that you have read, understood and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms.

NOTE: Certain roles may not be eligible to participate in the Program on behalf of your organization, including but not limited to professionals with the title of Director, Manager, or Associate. If you have specific questions, please reach out to your aligned Program Manager or PeerInsightsVendorSuccess@gartner.com.

NOTE: Your acceptance of these Terms will not in any way affect the terms and conditions of any other contract(s) currently in place between you and Gartner.

The Gartner Peer Insights™ Customer First Program (the “Program”) is designed to ensure the trust and credibility of our platform for end users while highlighting the organizations that have committed to solicit reviews honestly, transparently and from their entire customer base.

In consideration of the above, the parties agree as follows:

1. ELIGIBILITY. In order to be eligible to participate in this Program:

  1. COMPLIANCE WITH PEER INSIGHTS TERMS: You must comply in all respects with the Peer Insights Rules of Engagement, the gartner.com Terms of Use and the Gartner Privacy Policy.
  2. ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT WITH PEER INSIGHTS: You must be actively involved with Peer Insights (you should have attended an Onboarding Session, have an aligned Program Manager, and have at least 10 published reviews using vendor review sourcing links within 90 days of applying).
  3. REVIEW SOURCING CHANNELS: You must Implement review-sourcing “channels” as further described below. Failure to implement may result in removal of your organization from the Program.
  4. WIDGET HOSTING: You must implement a widget (Peer Insights can provide a small or large widget or Tech Provider may customize their own widget per the guidelines in subsections a and b below) on a public-facing page on your company website that is easily accessible to users in one or two clicks. Any page that requires a login or is not publicly accessible does not meet the Program requirements.
      a. The widget must contain the following:

      • “Submit a Review” link, taking end-users directly to the review survey for the Customer First market page
      • “Read Reviews” link, taking end-users directly to the Customer First market page
      • Approved up-to-date Gartner Peer Insights™ logo

      b. The widget must adhere to the guidelines in the Content Compliance Policy.

2. TECHNOLOGY PROVIDER OBLIGATIONS

a. IDENTIFY PROGRAM LEAD: Identify an employee in your organization who will be taking on the day-to-day responsibilities of participating in and promoting this Program (“Program Lead”). In the event that either you or the Program Lead leaves your organization, or takes on a new role, you agree on behalf of your organization to update and reconfirm its commitment to the Program – and appoint a new Program Lead – within 90 days of the Program Lead’s departure. b. ENGAGE IN CLEAN SOURCING: Within 90 days of applying, source at least 10 published reviews in accordance with the Review Sourcing Requirements hereunder, using vendor review sourcing links.

c. PROVIDE REVIEW SUBMISSION CHANNELS: Provide the following “channels” through which clients may submit their reviews to Gartner Peer Insights™:

  • SOURCING STRATEGIES: Select at least 1 of the following Programmatic Sourcing Strategies from the below pre-approved “channels” those through which you plan to ask your customers for reviews:
    • Email invitation to all customers (include with all initial NPS survey invitations, at the end of all support tickets, etc.)
    • Integration with events strategy to invite all attendees to leave a review (user conferences, industry events, and digital events)
    • Link included in communications that go to all customers (customer portal, newsletters​)
    • Integration with customer onboarding process (email invitation to review solution after each deployment)
    • Other (please specify) Gartner Peer Insights™ must approve your method of outreach if “Other” is selected. If the method of outreach is not approved by Gartner Peer Insights™, a different method of customer outreach must be chosen

d. ACCESS READERSHIP ANALYTICS: Receive data from Gartner Peer Insights™ in the form of review readership data, “Readership Analytics,” presented within your GPI Vendor portal. NOTE: As a condition of receiving insights via “Readership Analytics,” you must solicit reviews that result in a minimum of 25 approved and published reviews in a 12-month period using specific Review Sourcing Links.

e. ENGAGE IN SELF-REPORTING: You will self-report on your organization’s adherence to the Program if requested by Gartner Peer Insights™.

3. REVIEW SOURCING AFFIRMATIONS

  • You affirm that every user of your product(s)/services will have an equal opportunity to share their honest feedback, regardless of whether it is positive or negative
  • You affirm that your organization has made and will continue to make its best efforts to invite all users/customers to write and submit reviews
  • You affirm that your organization has not hired promoters, influencers, curators, or any type of reputation management service to seed reviews as part of an effort to market your company.
  • You affirm that all reviews submitted to our sites will comply with our Community Guidelines.
  • You affirm that your organization will comply with the Gartner Peer Insights™ Incentive Policy as part of its efforts to solicit customer reviews
  • You affirm that your organization will offer incentives to customers in a fair and equal manner regardless of known relationship/satisfaction with product/service
  • You affirm that your organization will accurately reproduce and appropriately cite all quotes and ratings from your customers’ reviews where they appear on your company’s web properties, marketing materials or in other communications, in accordance with our Community Guidelines and Gartner Peer Insights™ Content Compliance Policy.

4. PEER INSIGHTS OBLIGATIONS

Organizations that join the Program and implement defined best practices in accordance with these Terms will receive the following benefits:

  • An exclusive Customer First Badge on the corresponding market Gartner Peer Insights™ page
  • Readership Analytics data (after soliciting 25 published reviews in a market through the use of review sourcing best practices).

Peer Insights reserves the right in its sole discretion to make available additional Program benefits for technology providers.

5. TERM AND TERMINATION

TERM. The Gartner Peer Insights™ Customer First Program is an annual program. You have the option to renew your organization’s participation in the Program on an annual basis via an online submission form. If you do not renew your commitment to the Program in a timely fashion, Peer Insights reserves the right to remove your organization from the Program.

TERMINATION FOR CONVENIENCE. Your participation in the Program is completely voluntary and you may terminate your participation at any time without penalty by reaching out to PeerInsightsVendorSuccess@gartner.com.

TERMINATION FOR CAUSE. Peer Insights may conduct random audits for compliance and continued commitment to the Program. If Peer Insights determines in its sole discretion that your organization is in breach of these Terms, we will issue you a written notice of non-compliance. If you fail to correct the non-compliance in a timely fashion after notice has been issued, we reserve the right to remove your organization from the Program. Peer Insights reserves the right to remove technology providers from the Program due to circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • Breaching the Review Sourcing Affirmations enumerated in Section 3
  • Removing the Customer First widget from your external website
  • Sourcing an insufficient number of reviews through vendor review sourcing links
  • Violating any of these Terms or the Peer Insights Community Guidelines
  • Selectively sourcing positive reviews, coaching reviewers, or breaching anonymity of reviewers
  • Sourcing reviews without using vendor review sourcing links
  • Failing to renew your participation in the Program within a timely fashion of receiving the survey

Peer Insights reserves the right to update or otherwise modify these Terms from time to time. You are responsible for checking these Terms periodically for updates. Your continued participation in the Program constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
