Startups from DisruptSF – Penxy

Penxy, was one of the Russian startups from Skolkovo Foundation that impressed me with their great app and services the first day.

Knowing Russian also helped to with the many Russian startups at the conference, but I did not need much of explanation to understand how important this app can be for people like me.  Basically Penxy is a remote control app for your power points. On top of allowing us to slide each slide with a simple swipe of  your fingers on your iPhone, you can also read your notes, and more importantly, record your voice presentation at the same time. In the end, the app will automatically sync your slides with your voice recording and you can even share the link on social media or email.

The startup was so impressive, they were able to raise $500K on the spot from VC investors on the 2nd day during the event according to their founder.
