Mobile interaction is quickly become the preferred means of communication for customers. IT leaders therefore cannot afford to put off the development of a strategy for mobile digital customer engagement.  The Gartner just released Special Report:Engaging Customers in a Mobile Digital World offers insight for IT leaders supporting marketing, sales, digital commerce and service to help them improve their mobile customer engagement capabilities. It will help them understand, plan and implement emerging mobile and digital technologies and apps to improve customer engagement processes and experiences.

The Special Report is organized into two sections:

  • “Creating a Mobile Strategy to Enable Digital Customer Engagement”
  • “Key Emerging Mobile Apps and Technologies for Digital Customer Engagement”

In the first section, we provide research on the creation of a mobile strategy to enable customer engagement processes. Key content includes frameworks and proven practices for targeting, acquiring and retaining customers through mobile digital processes.

The second section offers insight into emerging mobile technologies and apps that enable new customer engagement processes and interactions. It examines how mobile apps can work in concert with key new technologies such as wearables, Internet of Things devices, automotive infotainment systems and virtual assistants.
