About the program

Gartner Peer Insights has now enabled the option for vendors to add their own gift cards. These additional incentives will complement existing Gartner-funded gift cards already available in your account. Get reviews and incentivize more customers, simple and hassle-free.

1. Claim free account

Reach out to us to receive more information on claiming an account and we will help you set it up. Once we setup your account you`ll receive a unique account number which will always be available on the Incentive summary page on TPT vendor portal

2. Add funds

Once you have an unique account number, You can add up to $5000 and can be used in a calendar year. This is a no expiry account and balance will carry forward to the subsequent year.

Step 1 – Raise a Purchase Order/Invoice (Optional)

Quote your unique account number and amount in an email to Tango Card

Step 2 – Transfer Funds

Transfer money to Tango Card Bank Account (Details below) using ACH/Wire Transfer or Credit Card

We want to raise a request for an invoice to add funds to our account with Gartner Peer Insights. Please find the details below:

  • Transfer Method: Select one from Wire Transfer or ACH or Credit Card

You’ll receive a purchase order/invoice within 2 business days which you can use to get approval for transferring the funds.

Step 2 – Transfering funds

There are few ways to fund your Tango account account – ACH or Wire Transfer or Credit card.

1) ACH or Wire Transfer (Recommended)

Standard processing time for ACH payments is 2-business days and for wire transfer it’s 1-business day.

2) Credit Card

Tango Card charges 3.5% extra if you load money using a credit card. If you still wish to use this method just drop us an email on PeerInsightsVendorSuccess@gartner.com and we`ll provide more information.

Step 3 – Share Transaction Details

You`ll have to share transfer details to Tango Card (not required for credit card payments) along with following details and your account will be credited with 2 business days and updated balance would be available on the Incentive summary page of Gartner Peer Insights TPT Vendor Portal.

3. Source Reviews

The process of inviting customers for review and incentivising users continues to be the same. Create new or use existing incentivised sourcing links to have your customers receive incentives.

Step 1 – Create or use an existing incentivised sourcing link

Create a new incentivized sourcing link or use existing. All the existing incentivized sourcing links are applicable to utilise all available incentives

Step 2 – Ask your customers for reviews

Gartner will directly incentivize reviewers with published reviews. 50 free Gartner funded incentives are used first, followed by the additional incentives added.

Step 3 – Track your Incentive account

Track updates directly from Incentive summary section and sourcing link detail pages on the TPT Vendor portal.

To stop incentivising users from any sourcing link, use the edit option on sourcing link page and make the link “Inactive” or update the incentive offer availability date.

For your reviewers and customers

The process of inviting customers for review and incentivising users continues to be the same. Create new or use existing incentivised sourcing links to have your customers receive incentives.

  • Gartner Peer Insights will directly share the gift card for every review when it’s published and was sourced from an incentivized sourcing link shared by you.
  • Gartner will send a gift card to your customer’s email within 24 hours of review approval.
  • Your reviewers will be able to come to their Gartner Peer Insights account to resend gift cards to their email.
  • Under no circumstances will Gartner Peer Insights will share any details about the reviewer who receives a gift card from your account with the vendor. Only the gift card used and the remaining balance is available to you.

Additional Guidelines

Account and Fund Management

  • The vendor is provided with a sub account under Gartner Peer Insights’ account on 3rd party gift card partner – Tango Card
  • Vendor funded incentives upto $5000 can be used in a calendar year. The remaining amount will carry forward to the next year.
  • Vendor will receive invoice and receipts directly from Tango Card

Debiting accounts with Gartner funded and vendor funded incentives

  • Funds are debited first from Gartner Peer Insights free account before debiting your vendor funded account
  • The account will switch automatically to your account on exhausting 50 free incentives.
  • Gartner will fulfill the incentives directly from the vendor’s account similar to what it does for the free incentives.
  • Under no circumstances will Gartner Peer Insights will share any details about the reviewer who receives a gift card from your account with the vendor. Only the gift card used and the remaining balance is available to you.

Any organization that is listed for review on Gartner Peer Insights can take advantage of the Vendor-Funded Gift Card program.

Organizations that have the necessary permission and budget approvals in place can start leveraging the Vendor-Funded Gift Cards.

Is there any fee to join the Vendor-Funded Gift Card program?

No, this is a completely free service extended to all vendors on Peer Insights to help vendors source reviews for their products listed with us.

How do I opt-in for the Vendor-Funded Gift Card program?

How do I add funds to my Gift Card account?

To whom will I be transferring the money to?

When you join the program, Gartner will set up your own Gift Card account with Tango Card, a 3rd party gift card provider. You’ll be requested to transfer the money directly to Tango Card. Once you’ve made the transaction, Gartner will automatically fetch the balance from your Tango Card account. This will take approximately one business day. Once Gartner has the details, you will be able to see the balance for Gartner-Funded Gift Cards and the Vendor-Funded Gift Cards separately within the Technology Provider Tool portal.

Is there a limit to the amount of Vendor-Funded Gift Cards I can purchase in a year?

Gartner allows organizations listed on Peer Insights to fund up to $5,000 USD/year additional gift cards for their customers. As each gift card is valued at $25 USD, each organization can add up to 200 gift cards for their customers. The $5,000 USD/year limit is applicable to your entire organization, irrespective of the number of product/service lines. It is for all your review sourcing requirements. You can choose to split this amount by product and/or service portfolio, as you deem important.

Do we have the option to fund additional gift cards after we leverage the 200 available to us?

Unfortunately, you will not be able to fund additional gift cards through the vendor portal if you’ve exhausted the 200 Vendor-Funded Gift Cards and the 50 Gartner-Funded Gift Cards in a calendar year.

Do I have the option to change the type of gift card from Visa?

As of today, the only gift card option available through this program is a $25 USD International Visa gift card or $25 charity gift cards.

What happens to my gift cards if I do not use all my Vendor-Funded Gift Cards by the end of the Calendar Year?

The balance number of Vendor-Funded gift cards remaining will be carried forward to the next year. The gift cards DO NOT lapse.

What happens to my gift cards if I choose not to use Gartner Peer Insights anymore?

This is a no refund initiative. One Exception – In case you are no longer able to source reviews because your product and/or service no longer exists or has been moved to an ‘Others’ category on Peer Insights as a methodology/process change by Gartner. In such cases please reach out to us on PeerInsightsVendorSuccess@Gartner.com and Tango Card at Funding@TangoCard.com. In this case, Tango will refund all the unused gift cards to your account in approximately 3-4 weeks.

Do I have to exhaust all my Gartner-Funded Gift Cards before I can buy additional gift cards?

You can add gift cards to your account any time during the year, however, the disbursement will be initiated with the Gartner-Funded Gift Cards. Once you’ve exhausted all 50 Gartner-Funded Gift Cards will the disbursement start from your Vendor-Funded Gift Card account.

What should I do if I have a few queries on the status of my gift cards?

For the status of the gift cards disbursal, please reach out to your Program Manager directly. Do I have to exhaust all my Gartner-Funded Gift Cards before I can buy additional gift cards?

You can add gift cards to your account any time during the year, however, the disbursement will be initiated with the Gartner-Funded Gift Cards. Once you’ve exhausted all 50 Gartner-Funded Gift Cards will the disbursement start from your Vendor-Funded Gift Card account.

How will I be able to track the status of the Gift Card account?

You will be able to see the balance for Gartner-Funded Gift Cards and the Vendor-Funded Gift Cards separately within the Technology Provider Tool portal. You will also be able to see the number of gift cards issued for every incentivized review campaign link you create.

How do I create a custom review sourcing link to offer the gift cards to my customers?

All your existing links which are incentivized will automatically continue to offer these additional gift cards. You can also create a new review sourcing link and select “Gartner Fulfilled Incentives” while creating the link. Please see our Resources section on the Technology Provider Tool for steps to create review sourcing links, track the performance of each campaign and align gift cards should you choose to do so. When reaching out to my customers to solicit reviews, am I able to mention the gift cards?

How do my customers receive the gift card?

For every published review, Gartner will work with Tango Card to share a gift card till you have balance in your account.
After your customer submits their review via any incentivized link, the review will go through the Peer Insights Verification Process. If the review is approved, your customer will directly receive an email from Gartner confirming they have earned a gift card. Actual gift cards will be directly shared by Tango within 24 hours to that user.
The customer can also visit their Peer Insights Profile under “Your Reviews” (https://www.gartner.com/reviews/account/reviews) section where they will see an option to “Resend Gift Card” to receive the same gift card again in case they missed it.

Can I align a certain number of gift cards to a specific campaign? Can we change the gift card amount to smaller denominations?

Unfortunately, you cannot limit the number of gift cards at a review sourcing link level and we do not support variable incentive amounts – each gift card is $25 USD value.

Do gift cards need to be redeemed in a certain period?

Visa International gift cards have an expiration date stated on them. For our Visa International gift card, it is 7 months to redeem. Expired gift card codes become invalid once the expiration date arrives and cannot return into the cycle.

What happens if a customer in an industry that cannot be incentivized submits a review that is aligned to the gift cards?

These reviewers are notified directly by our team via email that we are not able to send them the gift card as it violates Gartner’s legal policies. Please see an example of the messaging that is sent below: “Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with a gift card because doing so violates Gartner’s legal policy prohibiting gifts to any Public Sector enterprise or Government body. In case you don’t want your review to be published or need any more information about your submitted review contact us at PeerInsights@Gartner.com.

Who should I reach out to if my customer does not receive a gift card?

If your customer did not receive a gift card, please have your customer reach out to PeerInsights@Gartner.com directly. Your Gartner Peer Insights Program Manager cannot confirm with any vendor contact if a specific customer received/should have received a gift card as per our anonymity policies.

My customers are outside of the US – Will they still get a gift card? Will the customer receive the gift card in the currency of their country?

We now offer an international Visa gift card valued at $25 USD to all reviewers. The international Visa gift card can be used in 140+ countries and redeemed in the currency of their country. For questions about specific countries, please reach out to PeerInsights@Gartner.com directly.

When does my customer receive the gift card?

The customer receives the gift card after the review has been vetted and approved by our moderation team, not when their review is submitted. It takes our team anywhere from 2-10 business days to fully moderate and approve a review. After the review is approved, the customer will receive an email from us and will receive a gift card within 24 hours directly from Tango. The customer can check the status of their review at any point within their Peer Insights User Profile. If the review is not approved, the customer will not receive a gift card.

Will I be able to monitor the number of gift cards sent out and the customers it was sent to?

You will be able to see the balance for Gartner-Funded Gift Cards and the Vendor-Funded Gift Cards separately within the Technology Provider Tool portal.
In line with our privacy policy, emphasizing on the anonymous nature of the review, in no situation will Gartner or Tango Card reveal any personal identifier information about the reviewer.
