What changes will be happening on April 1, 2020?

To better align with the Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customer’ publication calendar, all Customers’ Choice distinctions will go live on the Gartner Peer Insights site on the same day that the Voice of the Customer publishes within Gartner research. Additionally, beginning April 1st, 2020, all Customers’ Choice announcement landing pages will be phased out.

 

 

How will you notify me that I am a Customers’ Choice moving forward?

All vendors will be notified of their placement within the Voice of the Customer research document upon receipt of the courtesy preview of the research document. This courtesy preview is sent to vendors approximately 1 week prior to the report publishing. Those that are placed in the Customers’ Choice Zone of Figure 1 will also be represented as a Customers’ Choice on the Gartner Peer Insights site when the report is published.

What do I need to cite or link to now when promoting my Customers’ Choice?

Moving forward, when promoting your marketing materials, please include proper attribution to the applicable Voice of the Customer report. Please see our Copyright & Quote Policy for full guidance, and may use this format:

Will I still be asked to submit my company logo or description moving forward?

As we are phasing out the Customers’ Choice landing pages, we will no longer ask for a company logo, description, and review to highlight as part of the Customers’ Choice process. As of March 12, 2020, vendor logos appear on all market, vendor, and compare pages. We may expand these logos to additional pages in the future. You can edit your company logo via the “Product/Markets” tab of the Gartner Peer Insights Technology Provider Tools.

When am I allowed to start promoting my Customers’ Choice distinction?

You are able to make any Customers’ Choice marketing materials live after the corresponding Voice of the Customer document publishes on gartner.com and after the Customers’ Choice badges are updated to reflect the current year’s designees on the market page. Please be sure to send any marketing materials to Quote.Requests@gartner.com for approvals prior to going live.

I am not a Gartner Research client. How will I know that the Voice of the Customer has been published?

When the Voice of the Customer report publishes, we will also update the corresponding market on the live, publicly accessible Gartner Peer Insights site to reflect the current Customers’ Choice designees. The Customers’ Choice designees updated on the site signify the publication of the corresponding Voice of the Customer research document.

Yes, in order to help your marketing teams quickly develop promotional materials that adhere to our Copyright & Quote Policy, we have developed pre-approved templates, cheat sheets, and posts. Where should I send my promotional materials for approval?

Please submit any Customers’ Choice promotional materials in editable format to QuoteRequests@Gartner.com. If you have purchased the reprint rights to the Voice of the Customer document, please submit your Voice of the Customer promotional materials to CNRPromo@Gartner.com.

Do I need to resubmit any of my past marketing materials?

No, any promotional materials that have been previously approved by the Quote Requests team can remain as is. Starting April 1, 2020, all landing page links will automatically redirect to the market pages. If you are making any changes to live landing pages, website links, etc. please resubmit for approval using the new guidelines.

I was named a Customers’ Choice in March 2020. Does this mean my landing page will be up for about a week? What link should I cite in my promotional materials?

For those markets where we will be announcing Customers’ Choice vendors in March 2020, we will still publish a Customers’ Choice landing page. This landing page will be live until April 1, 2020 when all Customers’ Choice landing pages will be phased out. You are welcome to point to either the landing page or the market page in any new marketing materials you will be creating. Please be sure to send to Quote.Requests@gartner.com for approvals prior to going live.

I was a Customers’ Choice in my market in 2019, but not in 2020. Can I still promote my 2019 badge?

Yes you may, but in order to provide full context to any individual who may be consuming your marketing materials, please cite the appropriate 2019 Voice of the Customer research document that identifies your Customers’ Choice designation. Please also include the required disclaimer(s) identified in the Customers’ Choice Vendor Guidelines.

I am a current 2020 Customers’ Choice, and also was a Customers’ Choice previously in 2019 and 2018. Can I use all 3 badges in my marketing promotions?

If you were recognized as a Customer’s Choice in multiple years, you may only use the badge from the most recent year that you were recognized. So in this example, you may use the 2020 version of the badge.

In markets where we have previously published a Voice of the Customer document, you are able to see who has been named a Customers’ Choice within the archived Voice of the Customer report. Our team is looking to make this data available for you within your Gartner Peer Insights Technology Provider Tools backend portal.

Yes, vendors with at least 10 eligible reviews in the market during the Customers’ Choice time period will be automatically included in the Voice of the Customer document.
