Market Alerts Guidelines 1.0

• Market Alerts weekly digest contains alerts particular to only one market which is mentioned in the email.

• Each parameter used for showing the ranks corresponds to a question asked in the “Write a review” survey. Following are the parameters with their corresponding question in the survey:

  1. “Overall Rating” – “Please rate your overall experience with this vendor”
  2. “Product Capabilities” – “Overall rating of product capabilities”
  3. “Integration/Deployment” – “Overall rating of integration and deployment”
  4. “Service/Support” – “Overall rating of service and support”

• Top 3 vendors corresponding to a specific parameter shown in the market alerts weekly digest is decided by a ranking metric defined below.

  1. Only those vendors are considered which has at least 10 published reviews
  2. Ranking for a parameter is calculated using a combination of 2 metrics which are the average rating given to that vendor among all published reviews in the market and number of published reviews written for that vendor.
  3. Only those reviews about a vendor in the market are considered which are published till one day before the Market Alerts weekly digest email

• Methodology used for finding the trending vendor in a weekly digest

  1. Time duration considered: A week before the issue date of Market Alerts weekly digest in consideration
  2. That vendor is given the title “trending” which has maximum number of webpage visits in Gartner Peer Insights among all the vendors in the considered market in the aforementioned time duration

• Methodology used for finding the trending comparison in a weekly digest

  1. Time duration considered: A week before the issue date of Market Alerts weekly digest in consideration
  2. That comparison (pair of vendors) is given the title “trending” which has maximum number of webpage visits in Gartner Peer Insights among all the comparisons done in the considered market in the aforementioned time duration
