Vendor Funded Gift Card Updates

ACTIVE

Last Updated: December 1, 2022

Since launching the Vendor Funded Gift Card program, Gartner Peer Insights has helped 1,000+ vendors with facilitating gift cards to their customers.

We will be launching the following enhancements to the Vendor Funded Gift Card program:

Annual Funding Amount Increased to $10,000!

We have seen great success with our vendor-funded gift card initiative and have decided to increase the annual funding amount from $5,000 per market, per year to $10,000 per market, per year. This change will go into effect on January 1st, 2023.

As a reminder, any remaining funds carry over from year to year and do not expire. If your organization is looking to spend 2022 budget before the end of the year, you may want to consider adding in additional funds to your Peer Insights Vendor Funded Gift Card “pot,” so you have the full amount available and ready to go in your account for January 1, 2023.

Gift Card Balance Alerts

We will also be launching two new email gift card balance alerts which will be sent directly to the Tango Account creators (person who funded the account):

#1. Low Balance Alert

This email alert will be sent to you when your balance is below $125 USD or you have 5 gift cards remaining. For vendors that are allocating by market, this will be on a per market basis.

#2. Exhausted Balance Alert

After the low balance alert emails, you will receive an additional email notification to inform you that your balance has been exhausted. This means there is no more gift card funding available, and to ensure your reviewers are paid out their gift cards, you will need to add additional funds.

You and your organization are solely responsible for either uploading additional funds or informing your customer(s) that they will not receive a gift card (if you are unable to upload additional funds). Gartner Peer Insights is not responsible for gift cards fulfillment due to a lack of funding from a vendor.

In addition, we will be running an audit of gift cards unpaid due to insufficient balance. The audit will look 30 days into the past – if you had an exhausted balance in the last 30 days and have since uploaded additional funds, any unpaid gift cards will be paid out to reviewers from your updated balance.

Vendor-Funding Accountability

As Peer Insights is a self-service platform, it is the expectation that the vendor manages and monitors the funds in the Tango account, as well as each market’s annual spending limit ($10,000 USD per market, per year as of January 1, 2023).

As a measure of accountability, if the vendor exhausts their funds and has unpaid gift cards the vendor will have 14 days to fund or inform us of plans to fund. If the vendor does not add additional funds to the Tango account, Gartner will notify the reviewers that they cannot distribute the gift card due to lack of funding from the vendor.

If a vendor spends more than the annual incentive limit and has unpaid gift cards, it is then the vendors responsibility to notify the individuals contacted to inform that this offer is no longer available. In addition, any reviewers that reach out to Gartner will be informed of the vendor decision.
