In-person events are back! Are you ready to source reviews? Sourcing at events is one of the top strategies leveraged by vendors for obtaining reviews.

If you plan on hosting a Gartner Peer Insights space at your event to collect reviews from attendees, please consider the preparation and day of steps to run a successful event. If you need help, please reach out to your Program Manager or contact PeerInsightsVendorSuccess@gartner.com.

Pre-Event Prep:

  • Please let the Peer Insights team know that you’re going to be sourcing reviews onsite. Contact your Program Manager to share notice of upcoming event ~1 month prior to kickoff.
  •

  • Share your Onsite Event Contact Details
  •

  • Provide the Event Location, Dates, and Specific Sourcing Timeframe Hours (if available)
  •

  • Send Peer Insights the the IP(s) of the equipment you plan on using at the event
  •

  • Specify the type of web browser(s) you will be using (Ex: Chrome)
  •

  • Provide the specific Review Sourcing Link you plan on using (Link/Link Title)
  •

  • Have your physical event “swag” materials prepared to incentivize users (if applicable)
  •

  • Share the # of expected attendees and your targeted # of submitted reviews. This will help our team understand the scale of your event
  •

  • Please provide any additional tech related details

Sharing these event details prior to your event allows your Program Manager, the Peer Insights reviews and moderation team, and the Tech Support team to be prepared, and already have details about your event on hand for faster support and resolution.

Day of Event Prep:

  • Perform a complete walk-through of your booth area
  •

  • Hardwire into the network if available
  •

  • Set the event sourcing link as homepage for each kiosk
  •

  • Test the connection to the Peer Insights site by clicking on a few reviews
  •

  • Do a test run through by submitting a review via the review sourcing link
  •

If you have any issues with connecting to the internet, please get in contact with your specific Event Tech Support.

Always make sure you are testing the review sourcing links prior to your customers visiting your booth location to leave a review. You can leave a review and our team will automatically reject it as we will recognize that it was submitted by someone in your organization (which is a conflict of interest and not accepted).

Sometimes, things go wrong at onsite events, but we are here to help resolve as quickly as possible! The information below is critical for our Tech Support teams to be able to identify, replicate, and solve any issues you are having with customers submitting reviews on site. Please review this so that if anything comes up, you know what information to grab from your customers so we can fix it for you!

Information Required to Solve Tech Issues:

  • Screenshots/pictures of any error messages received
  •

  • Provide the email address and name of the person trying to write a review so we can verify the issue on our end
  •

  • The Review Sourcing Link URL that was used when attempting to submit review
  •

  • Device Operating System: (PC or Mac)
  •

  • Device Type: (Laptop/Tablet/Mobile)
  •

  • Inside Company Network? (Y/N)
  •

  • A brief description of the issue including specific details such as: “Where in the process did problem occur?”, “Was it at profile creation?”, “When submitting the review?”, etc.
  •

  •

  • Best contact number (mobile) that we can reach you to provide any next steps in real time
  •

If you have any questions or would like to further discuss your upcoming customer event, please contact your Program Manager directly or email us at PeerInsightsVendorSuccess@gartner.com. As always, happy review sourcing!
