A Glimpse Into the Reviewer Experience

We frequently receive questions from tech providers wondering how reviewers are updated on the status of their reviews. While most questions like, “Was my review approved?” and “Can you check to see if my review was submitted?” can be easily answered by visiting the User Profile, we want to provide you with the information below so that you can better understand the review experience from the reviewers point of view.
 
If your customers are ever experiencing technical difficulties or have specific questions about their individual reviews, we encourage you to have them reach out to our Support Team directly by emailing peerinsights@gartner.com or by clicking on the Contact Support button in the Your Reviews section of their profile. 

Please remember that the Gartner Peer Insights team cannot comment on individual reviews directly with a tech provider or allow a tech provider to involve themselves in the review process due to the anonymous nature of the Gartner Peer Insights platform.

What does a review that was started but not yet submitted look like? If a reviewer starts a review survey and does not complete it, the review will have a status of INCOMPLETE. Reviewers can go in at any time to finish the review and submit. See below for a screenshot of what that looks like to the reviewer: 

Abandoned Review:   

What does a submitted review look like? A successfully submitted review will appear in the Your Reviews section of a reviewer’s profile. The reviewer can see their review along with a Status of IN MODERATION, as shown in the screenshot below.   

After a successful review submission, reviewers will also receive an email directly that looks like this:

Email Subject: Thank you for your review

My customer has already submitted a review. Are they able to update their review?  Reviewers can edit or delete their reviews at any time. Within their Reviewer Profile, they will see a blue button that says UPDATE REVIEW. Clicking on this will auto-populate their previous answers and they can make the changes necessary to update their review. Once complete, they will need to submit the review. 
 
The pre-existing review will be unpublished from the site and go back through the moderation process. Once approved, the review will be posted with an updated publish date. We have provided a screenshot below of what that looks like to the reviewer:
 
Approved Review – Ability to Update:   

Does it show if their review is rejected? When reviews are not approved, our Moderation team will reach out to the reviewer with the details on why the review was not approved and the steps, if any, they can take to correct their review and resubmit for reevaluation. These details will appear on the review in the Your Reviews section of their profile and they will also receive an email notification. 
 
In the screenshot below, the reviewer needs to verify their email address in order to move the review along in the moderation process. Once they have actioned on this, the review will be resubmitted for the Moderation team to reevaluate.

In the screenshot below, the reviewer is missing important profile information and they also need to verify their email address. Once they have taken these steps, they are able to click on the UPDATE REVIEW button and resubmit their review for reevaluation.

Here is what the email notification looks like: 

Where can reviewers redeem their gift card?  If you are leveraging our Technology Provider Funded gift card program, you may receive questions from your customers on how they will receive their gift card.
 
Reviewers will have a link to claim their gift card available on the review in the Your Reviews section of their profile. We have provided a screenshot below of what that looks like for the reviewer: 

They will also receive a direct email notification that will also provide them with the CLAIM NOW link to redeem their gift card.  As a reminder, reviewers have 30 days to claim their gift card(s) before the offer expires.

Where can they redeem their membership for Gartner Peer Insights Plus (GPI+)? 
 
If you are offering Gartner Peer Insights Plus as an incentive, you may receive questions from reviewers asking how they will know if their review was approved and they have access to GPI+. We have provided a screenshot below of what an Approved Review with GPI+ looks like:

They will also receive an email letting them know their review was approved and their access is being verified. Once credentials are verified, reviewers can access GPI+ by clicking on the Plus Resource Center link in their Reviewer Profile.
