I&O leaders are left with little time to track emerging trends and the full impact of those trends on infrastructure and operations. Gartner has identified the top trends that are likely to have on I&O teams specifically. (Figure 1).
These trends are based on Gartner client interactions, surveys and secondary research. I recently authored,
Top Trends Impacting I&O for 2022: A Gartner Trend Insight Report, which explains each of these trends and outlines their positive and negative implications. I&O leaders should use this research to identify which of the top trends are most likely to impact their organization and use the recommendations in this research to respond to the trends effectively. It is one of the many ways that Gartner provides insights to optimize the effectiveness of your I&O oganization.
