Gartner Talent Lab Associates Give Back to Local Fort Myers Animal Shelter

| |

At Gartner, we care about the local communities that we live and work in, always striving to make a positive impact when possible. Recently, some of our research analysts in Fort Myers, FL volunteered at The Animal Refuge Center (ARC), a nonprofit animal welfare center that is committed to finding homes for all of the cats and dogs brought to the shelter. The volunteers were tasked with organizing donated items, cleaning out a ditch to ensure proper water flow and walking the dogs.

These associates, who are members of Gartner’s Analyst Talent Lab, built their teamwork skills, gave back to their local community, and even got to spend some time with a few furry friends. Below, members of the group are sharing about their experience.

Hannah Decker

“We had a very rewarding day at ARC. It was great to assist the organization with bigger tasks that we could tackle as a team that would have taken the ARC staff away from their day-to-day responsibilities of taking care of the animals.”

Alexandra Chavez

“Getting the opportunity to contribute some time to an organization like ARC was a treat. Learning about their unique commitment to the cause was inspiring and refreshing. Plus, volunteering is even better when puppies are involved.”

Keith Andes

“I loved volunteering at ARC! We were definitely put to work — they needed some help with property maintenance — but it was something I was happy to do for a great cause.”

Graham Peters

“The time we spent at ARC was an unbeatable experience. I really enjoyed feeling like I did something of a worthy cause, but I also had a ton of fun doing it.”

 Noah Rosenstein

“It was both rewarding and very enjoyable to be able to give back to our community by volunteering at the ARC. The staff there was so appreciative that we were able to help. Of course, walking and playing with the dogs (and puppies!) brought a smile to all of our faces and was the perfect way to wrap up the day.”

 Patrick Long

“Volunteering at ARC was a truly special experience. Being able to help animals that can’t help themselves and assisting the staff, who were going above and beyond to help the animals, was incredibly rewarding. And being able to have some one-on-one time with the animals didn’t hurt!”
