Gartner Gives: How Our Associates Gave Back to The Local Community in India

At Gartner, we strive to make a positive impact in the communities we live and work in, no matter how small. Recently, associates from several of our offices across India collaborated with nonprofit organizations to make a positive impact in their local communities. Learn more about the team’s recent initiatives below.

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team in Gartner’s Bangalore office visited Snehadhara Foundation, a nonprofit organization that focuses on creating an inclusive environment where children and adults with developmental disabilities can learn through self-expression and artwork. Our team interacted with the children and organized fun activities like painting, cooking and a puppet show.

Our CSR team in Mumbai collaborated with Snehasadan, an organization dedicated to providing orphaned children with a stable home environment. The Gartner team visited the center, where they taught the group about computers and played sports. “The Snehasadan children and house-parents are extremely grateful to Gartner for all the help provided, and look forward to taking this mutual relationship to great heights,” said Father Noel Pinto, director of Snehasadan.

Gartner’s HR team in Gurgaon brought some holiday cheer to Explorer Academy, an initiative established by Donate an Hour, a volunteering program. Our team visited Explore Academy children, played games and distributed donated toys to celebrate the season of giving. “The visit to the NGO (non-government organization) was a humbling experience and made me think and be grateful for what I have in my life. It was an eye-opener to the impact each of us could make even if we took one small step at a time,” said Santosh Ghate, MVP, Human Resources.
