Gartner Named a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality in 2020

January 21, 2020

Gartner, the world’s leading research and advisory company, is proud to announce that it has been recognized as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality once again with a top score of 100 percent for 2020.

The Corporate Equality Index (CEI) is the nation’s premier benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

The 2020 CEI evaluates companies and top law firms on LGBTQ-related policies and practices, specifically focusing on the following criteria:

  • Non-discrimination policies
  • Employment benefits
  • Demonstrated organizational competency and accountability around LGBTQ diversity and inclusion
  • Public commitment to LGBTQ equality
  • Responsible citizenship

Gartner’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality for the fifth consecutive year.

Craig Safian, EVP and CFO, says “As executive sponsor for our Pride at Gartner employee resource group, I am proud of our efforts to make Gartner one of the best places to work for LGBTQ+ equality. We welcome everyone who has the talent and drive to make a difference, so we strive to foster an inclusive environment for all of our associates worldwide.”

Gartner is proud to have upheld its score of 100 percent in 2019 as it continuously strives to establish an inclusive and supportive environment for all associates. The Pride at Gartner employee resource group aims to advance inclusion of LGBTQ associates and allies through awareness, programs and influencing process improvements.

“I am proud to work for a company that not only prioritizes global diversity and inclusion, but also values my identity. LGBTQ+ employees are a vital part of the teams who work here and Gartner’s score on the HRC’s Corporate Equality Index is a testament to our organization’s commitment to advancing equality,” says LJ Justice, Senior Specialist Research, D&I RC Lead and Pride at Gartner member.
