Below, Luisa Fragata, a Senior Account Executive working in our Frankfurt office, shares her story and offers career advice for others looking to grow with Gartner.

Luisa’s Career Story

When I was contacted by Gartner over a year ago, I was immediately impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the recruiting team. Throughout my interview and onboarding process, the team showed me respect and honesty through straightforward and transparent communication — that really impressed me.

Once I joined Gartner, I started my five-week sales training program. I had the opportunity to meet newly hired associates from our global offices, and it was great getting to meet and network with new friends. During this time, I learned the ins and outs of my role and was fully motivated to dive into my sales territory after graduating and further honing my skills. Even though I have almost completed my first year at Gartner, it still feels as though I just walked through the doors. I’m already looking forward to the coming years, which promise to be just as exciting as my first one!

Why Gartner? Luisa Shares Her Thoughts

Endless opportunities to learn: From your first day in the office, you’re encouraged to keep learning and ask questions. Gartner gives you the tools to succeed — it’s up to you to use them. In my role on Gartner’s sales team, I get to work with C-level executives every day, giving me the chance to develop my skills faster than I would elsewhere — especially when you are told “no” from a client. Giving up is never an option for me — “no” is just where the selling starts.

A helping hand is always there: The great thing about Gartner is that there is always someone to turn to for help. My mentor was always ready to answer my questions and help whenever I needed it. I’m encouraged to continuously develop in my role, and it’s because of this guidance that I have been able to advance so quickly. Each and every person around me, teammates and managers, have all quickly become my role models and have had an impact on my success.

Get rewarded for your success: In the first nine months of my career, I was able to make it to Winners Circle, Gartner’s rewards program for top sales earners. By following what I was taught in training and working hard, I was able to qualify for a trip to Miami after hitting my achievement quota. The possibilities for growth and success in your role are limitless!
