Gartner Partners With the University of Central Florida for Continuous Sales Success

On February 12, the University of Central Florida College of Business hosted its 20th annual Business Hall of Fame Gala. Over 650 alumni, faculty, students and corporate partners attended the event to honor the college’s most distinguished alumni and partners during the awards ceremony.

Gartner’s own Brian Charif, Vice President of MSE Sales Learning and Development in Fort Myers, was honored with the Notable Knight Award, which recognizes UCF alumni who have displayed promise and excellence in their careers. Brian joined Gartner as an account manager after graduating from UCF with a degree in marketing and where he was a member of the Professional Selling Program. Brian is a true testament as to how you can grow with Gartner and skyrocket your career by joining our growing sales team.

“I cannot say thank you enough to the professors at UCF and the training program at Gartner for helping to kick-start my career in sales. Coming straight from college to a role where I am responsible for managing C-level relationships and contracts worth hundreds of thousands of dollars would have been unimaginable without them building such a strong foundation,” says Brian.

In addition to Brian’s honor, Gartner, the world’s leading research and advisory organization, was also recognized at the Business Hall of Fame Gala with a Partnership Award. This award recognizes Gartner’s partnership with the UCF College of Business, which began in 2014 after hiring a few talented individuals from the university.

Andy Muench, UCF alum and Managing Vice President for Global Sales Learning and Development at Gartner, accepted the award on behalf of the company. Andy is yet another gleaming example of how Gartner’s sales program can help you to achieve success. During his 19-year tenure at Gartner, Andy has grown within our sales organization from account executive to a managing vice president after displaying exemplary leadership skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

When asked about Gartner’s partnership with UCF, Andy said, “It’s been incredibly impressive to see the talent the UCF Sales Program has developed over the years. As a UCF alumnus, it gives me great pride to see the personal and professional development of so many associates who have joined the organization from UCF and grown with Gartner.”

Gartner has worked closely with the school’s Professional Selling Program, which aims to develop the business acumen and skill set of students interested in becoming the sales leaders of tomorrow. Our sales team has helped to prepare students for upcoming sales competitions, interviews and their careers by offering one-on-one time with industry professionals.
