Get To Know Gartner: Meet Ryan White

Gartner’s sales organization is growing at a rapid pace and we are always looking for top talent to fuel the future of our business. Ryan White, an Account Manager in our Egham office, shares about life at Gartner on our growing sales team below. 

Describe your job in 25 words or less: My role is to support my C-level clients on their most urgent business objectives by aligning Gartner’s resources, which allows them to make the right strategic business decisions.

What originally attracted you to Gartner? Gartner reached out to me a few years ago, but I did not take the opportunity at the time. Later, one of my colleagues moved to Gartner. He was really enjoying his role and told me more about the atmosphere, earning potential and people. It sounded great and when I was approached again, I took the job!

What is your favorite part about working for Gartner? I really enjoy the atmosphere, teams and people. It’s also a rewarding place to work, you constantly get recognition when you do well, and there are always different incentives that are running.

What are 3 words that best describe Gartner? Challenging, exciting, collaborative.

What has been your proudest moment at Gartner? My proudest moment at Gartner was in 1Q of this year: I was the No. 2 rookie across Europe and America MSE.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? I enjoy advising and supporting business owners and C-level executives, to help them achieve their business objectives.

If you could interview one person, who would it be and why? Tim Cook. As the CEO of Apple, the first trillion-dollar-valued company, I think it would be great to understand his secret to success, and how he has built the company to be what it is today.

What are 3 words that best describe you? Hard-working, dedicated, motivated

If you could switch your job with anyone else at Gartner, whose job would you want and why? I would switch roles with my manager. I think that it would be interesting to see all of the components that go into making a successful sales team.
