Meet Nora Jensen, Account Manager, Event Sales, who grew up in Wyk auf Foehr, a small island in the North Sea of Germany. In 2004, her family relocated to Fort Myers, FL, where she continued high school and later graduated from FGCU with a bachelor’s degree in Business. Today, she is a successful Gartner associate. Below she describes her love for Gartner and how she landed in her role.
I originally discovered Gartner during my last semester in college. My business school put on a recruiting event and I briefly chatted with some of the recruiters at the Gartner booth. Even though I didn’t immediately start my career path with Gartner, more and more people I know started their journey here, raving about how much they love it! At that point I was in and knew my future would be here! Over the past year and a half in my roles as an Event Attendance Specialist and Account Manger, I have learned from so many people and have learned a lot about IT sales.
Jay Hancock, a counterpart of mine and member of team WOLFPACK, has been the biggest help in my role thus far. In addition to the advice and guidance from my manager Jason Lanham, Jay has really educated me in my role and helped me understand my industry. Not only has she helped me understand my clients, but she has also taught me how to best collaborate with internal partners to really become ONE Gartner.
The team dynamic at Gartner is incredible. We all work so well with one another, sharing best practices while supporting each other to be the best we can be, every day. Gartner has endless opportunities for professional development and I really appreciate the work/life balance and, of course, the benefits.
It is no surprise that when people ask how I like my job that I have nothing but amazing things to say about this company. Not only do I get to spend most of my days working with fun, smart and caring individuals, I also am given endless opportunities to further my career here at Gartner. Gartner definitely takes care of its people and also gives back to the local communities. Who wouldn’t want to be part of that?
