Meet Ranjit Kuppili, Director of Product and Growth Programs, part of Gartner’s Product organization, based in our Stamford, Connecticut office. Ranjit joined Gartner from McKinsey & Company, where he advised clients across a range of strategy, operations and digital topics. He has an M.B.A. from IIM, India. Below, Ranjit describes why he loves his job and Gartner.
My education gave me the skills and mindset needed to thrive in a range of different career options. However, I gravitated toward consulting early on as it was at the optimal intersection of my skills (problem solving, relationship building and teamwork, analytics) and interests (travel, exposure to a variety of people/problems/locations).
I started at Gartner by leading projects in collaboration with Sales to drive growth. I have since taken on a range of additional responsibilities, including leading a growing team focused on shaping the future of growth at Gartner. I love my job because I am able to coach and develop my team while working on high-impact projects. I also love the exposure to lead thinking and innovation across Gartner and the opportunity to engage and build relationships with people from different backgrounds (e.g., Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Research, Services, Tech, Product, etc.).
There are a few key reasons that I continue to work at Gartner. First, I have smart and collaborative colleagues. Second, I feel the excellent senior leadership team has a clear and ambitious vision for the future, which leads me to my third reason, a company with sustained growth. My final reason is the culture. It is innovative and challenges the status quo. It is a “no-limits” mindset culture.
