Gartner was named 199th on Forbes America’s Best Employers 2018 top large companies list. Companies, like Gartner, are competing aggressively for top talent, piling on more perks and benefits every year. But which organizations have the most satisfied employees? Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify the companies liked best by employees with our annual ranking of America’s best employers.

To determine the list, Statista surveyed 30,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. All the surveys were anonymous, allowing participants to openly share their opinions. The respondents were asked to rate, on a scale of zero to 10, how likely they’d be to recommend their employer to others. Statista then asked respondents to nominate organizations in industries outside their own. The final list ranks the 500 large and 500 midsize employers that received the most recommendations.

“Women need role models to look up to, so I feel very humbled to be on this list,” Mankiran says. She’s passionate about diversity and is proud to be seen as someone who others may look up to as a woman with a demanding career in sales.

She couldn’t imagine being able to manage both changes to her life at once. Once she received some gentle encouragement from peers, she took the job and hasn’t looked back.
