Q: Tell us about yourself:
A: I grew up in upstate New York, and moved to Florida at 25. I have a 9-year old son who is an artist/engineer/entrepreneur. I have my hands full! In 2015, I was featured in Gulfshore Business Magazine’s 40 under 40, and recently I was featured in the 40 under 40 ‘Where Are They Now?’
Q: How did your career path start?
A: I entered the banking industry in 2009, working my way up from a teller to Vice President of Retail Banking. I was the youngest VP in the state. My job was very cushy, but I was not challenged enough. I reached out to Gartner to see if it would be a fit for me and quickly realized HT BD was a role I would love.
Q: How did you initially discover Gartner?
A: I’ve lived in Fort Myers for the past 12 years. I’d always heard about Gartner but no one in Fort Myers really knows what Gartner is or what it does.
Q: What has your career growth at Gartner been?
A: I started with zero technology experience. I was about 10 years older than everyone in my Academy. I forgot how to take notes in class because it had been 15 years since I was last in school. I hit the ground running, and worked harder than I ever have. I closed my first deal after being territory-live for only 7 days, hit Winners Circle at 7 months, and I am currently leading my team in NCVI.
Q: Why do you like working at Gartner?
A: The culture here is incredible. My team (GWoN) is a tight-knit family. We all hang out together outside of work, and truly enjoy each other’s company. We were a brand-new team last year, a growth team,-and we finished the year in the top 5 of the company.
Q: Do you love your job? Tell us why!
A: I love the thrill of the chase, and the hunt of the BD role. The harder I work, the better I get, and the more money I make. I bought my first home on my 1-year anniversary at Gartner!
