Describe your job in 25 words or less: Providing CIOs with the information they need to make the right judgments on their journey toward digital transformation.

What originally attracted you to Gartner? Gartner has been continuously growing by double digits, so I was initially attracted to the opportunities for career progression.

Who has been a mentor for you here at Gartner? How have they helped you? Alex Sowerby, my manager, has mastered the role of an EAS and recently moved into management. He inspires me on a daily basis to continuously strive for more and be creative in the ways I do this.

What is your favorite part about working for Gartner? The culture — my colleagues’ successes are always celebrated, and it creates a great environment to work in daily.

How has Gartner helped you in your career development? It has made me realize my strong characteristics as well as areas to develop — Gartner’s focus on coachability gives you a great platform to better yourself as an employee and an individual.

What advice do you have for prospective Gartner candidates? Be yourself. Gartner gives you the opportunity to begin a fruitful career.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? The intellectual conversations I have day in and day out with CIOs and their teams. I am continuously learning day by day and believe I will be doing this throughout my career with Gartner.

  1. Always think years ahead in terms of what you want to do in your career.
  2. Continuously look for areas in which you can develop — strive to be better.
  3. Look to be that person who people approach for help and advice and develop leadership skills early.

What advice would you give to recent new hires? It may seem overwhelming at first but just keep on going and don’t give up — it will pay the dividends in the long run.

What are 2 words that best describe you? Energetic. Positive.

What is one thing unique about you that people would be surprised if they knew? I was once in the Royal Ballet School.
