Get To Know Gartner: Meet Anna Kratt

GRName: Anna Kratt

University: Grand Valley State University

Job Title: Account Executive

Office Location: Fort Myers, FL

Describe your job in 25 words or less: I help C-level executives grow their business by aligning their needs and priorities to industry-leading research and analysis to solve their mission-critical priorities.

What originally attracted you to Gartner? I was attracted to Gartner because of the reputation the company has in the tech industry. Coming from the vendor side of IT, I know how valuable the services Gartner provides are. It is very difficult to be a part of the company because they take their time to ensure the right people are here.

Who has been a mentor for you here at Gartner? How have they helped you? My trainer, Melissa Tewell, has been truly amazing. She has collaborated with me on deals, and kept me sane! Sales is a roller coaster ride, and sometimes you need someone to tell you to put your hands up going down the hill.

What are 3 words that best describe Gartner? Relevant, Growing, Gratifying.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? My favorite part of my job is working with my clients. I love building relationships and learning about people, which makes my job not a job! If you are doing your job right you are their right hand. They trust me to provide them with the right resources to complete their initiatives. I take pride in that. When my clients win, I win.

What advice would you give to recent new hires? Be ready to work hard! Do not hesitate to ask questions. I learn something new every day. The opportunities are truly limitless here, so make a name for yourself!

If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and why? This is very hard, there are too many people! I am going to go with Robin Williams. He was a very influential person in my life. I used to host the morning announcements in middle school and weaved in some of his expressions and voices. I still re-enact Mrs. Doubtfire to this day! I would ask how he became so good at impressions.

If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it? Well, I Guess I Wrote A Book

What are 3 words that best describe you? Vivacious, Tenacious, Humorous.

What is one thing unique about you that people would be surprised if they knew? I am an open book so this is hard! I want to be in a biker gang, a real one. One that has the leather vest and we wear bandanas. The Harley is in my 5-year plan.
