Describe your team in 25 words or less: My team is young, ambitious, hungry, hugely energetic and so driven to impact our clients and prospects. They have such a huge range of skill sets that everyone has a bright spot to coach and teach back to the others.
Why did you choose Gartner? I chose to work at Gartner, for 2 main reasons. The first was the strong female leadership team, with some truly inspiring leaders. Secondly, because the work that we do really impacts clients on both a professional and personal level.
What was your first role at Gartner? Account Manager
How long have you worked at Gartner? 3 years. I started at CEB, now Gartner
What makes Gartner a great place to work? Gartner fosters an environment that seriously rewards over achievement, has a culture whereby everyone actually helps each other, and each individual really encourages success in their colleagues.
Describe yourself in 3 words: Outgoing, organized and tenacious.
Describe your best employee. What unique qualities does he/she possess that makes them stand out? My best employee is someone who really dedicates herself to impacting her members and clients. She is intellectually curious, extremely hard working, takes every “no” as a lesson in how she can get a “yes” the next time. She is a true enterprise contributor, and really supports our whole team to deliver a better experience to our clients. What makes her stand out is how often she asks for feedback to ensure she is constantly bettering herself.
When interviewing a candidate, what are 3 things you look for? Coachability, business acumen and great questions.
Share a success story about your team: In the first quarter of the year we all went through a huge transformation changing roles and managers, but by the first week of March all of the BDMs in my team hit their Q1 goals and qualified for the Q1 bonus.
Describe your management style: A mix between democratic and coaching. With such a junior team, coaching is the highest priority in my week.
What advice do you have for members of your team, or someone considering joining your team? There are some key things that make this team different and that’s how we collaborate and support each other. Every single person here is driven to being the best that they can be, so come prepared to learn a lot and to have a lot of fun.
