Why did you choose Gartner? Gartner leads! Interested in technology and IT, I wanted to develop my knowledge of the sector and work with clients across industries. I really liked the culture, too. Gartner has such a collaborative environment, which encourages you to be better and learn more.

What was your first role at Gartner? I joined Gartner in May 2016 on the New Client Engagement Team. I specialized in the Gartner products and online tools. My role was to make sure every new client was introduced to the resources he/she has access to.

How long have you worked at Gartner? About a year after I joined Gartner, I moved to a new role focusing on clients harder to engage within Open Territories in DACH and Benelux. I am about to join a new team focusing on vendor clients for the French market. In May, I will celebrate my 2nd year work anniversary.

What makes Gartner a great place to work? As many will tell you, the people! We work with people from different backgrounds and from all over the world. I really like how collaborative people are and how many opportunities there are to learn. You really get the opportunity to develop and sharpen your skills and knowledge.

Share a success story about your team: Our team does a great job of engaging clients and delivering value quickly. Otherwise, you will find some gifted mini-golf players. I am not one of them.

What role does your team play in Gartner’s success? Client Partners’ role is to ensure clients are maximizing the usage of their service. Once you understand their priorities and projects, you can help them find answers and solve their challenges. When Gartner becomes a partner, clients will renew their service. Clients’ success is Gartner’s success. Each Client Engagement Partner and Client Partner on my team focuses on their clients and makes sure each one is receiving value from their service and getting their ROI.

What advice do you have for members of your team, or someone considering joining your team? If you are joining the team, you will need to soak-up a lot of information. Talk to people and ask questions.

Why would a prospective candidate want to join your team? As a prospective candidate, you should go for a Client Partner role because it’s a great opportunity to make a difference, learn about IT, work with a diverse set of clients and collaborate with driven individuals from all over the world. It will give you a lot of exposure to the business, and there are many ways to develop your career.

If you could describe your team dynamic in one word, what would it be? Diplomats.
