Describe your job in 25 words or less: I am an Account Manager on the higher education team and I focus on the U.K. and South Africa. My role is to ensure that my clients are getting maximum value from their Gartner services.

What is your favorite part about working for Gartner? It would have to be the environment. It’s very collaborative, and everyone takes pride in helping each other and is so friendly. I like the fact that I get to work with different people across the business and learn so much from them. Everyone is always happy to help and fuel my development.

How has Gartner helped you in your career development? The 7-week Sales Academy taught me a lot about my strengths and weaknesses and how to improve on them. I can say that I have learned a lot of life skills, which will help me personally and throughout my career development.

What advice do you have for prospective Gartner candidates? Be passionate and motivated. Make sure that you are enthusiastic throughout and friendly. Be coachable and take on board feedback and use that feedback to develop. Don’t be afraid to ask lots of questions.

What are 3 words that best describe Gartner? Exciting, collaborative, inclusive.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? Getting to work with so many different clients and learning about their businesses. Understanding their mission-critical priorities and how Gartner can support them is an aspect of the role that I really enjoy.

If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and why? Leonardo DiCaprio, because I find it interesting that he uses his fame to highlight issues such as global warming and climate change, and is trying to help in raising awareness for such issues.

What are 3 words that best describe you? Outgoing, positive, driven.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within Gartner whose job would you want and why? I would swap jobs with an Executive Partner, purely because you get to work with so many different clients and get to help them in developing their personal and professional skills and making a tangible difference to their business.

Favorite Quote or Personal Mantra: A setback is a set-up for a comeback.
