Describe your job in 25 words or less: I am responsible for growth and retention initiatives for the western region.

I’m a passionate sales leader driven to help sales managers and account executives deliver peak performances year over year, focused on hiring exceptional talent, coaching teams, executing global sales strategy and implementing a collaborative fun environment.

What originally attracted you to Gartner? Prior to joining Gartner I was a client of Gartner’s at Unisys. I leveraged Gartner content to help build my go-to-market strategy as a product marketing manager. Since I leveraged Gartner extensively as a client, I understood the value it contributed to organizations that worked with Gartner.

What is your favorite part about working for Gartner? My favorite part of working for Gartner is our culture. We are an organization that knows who we are and where we are going. Our strategy is well communicated and executed throughout the company.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? What I enjoy most in my current role is seeing others succeed. I feel like it is my job to help people be their best self every day. When Account Executives in my organization realize success, I feel very proud. Success is not just financial results, it also includes key life milestones. When team members go on amazing vacations, decide to get married, buy their dream homes, etc…. I know what we are doing here at Gartner is a part of these life moments.

What are 3 career lessons you’ve learned while at Gartner?

  1. “Do the right thing and the right things will happen.”- Gene Hall
  2. Be passionate about what you are doing. What we do at Gartner is bigger than providing information to people. We support people’s careers and their success. We represent a product that makes a real difference in people’s lives.
  3. Do not stop learning. We are evolving as an organization and we continue to mature. If I stayed the same as I was 10 years ago, I would not be able to do my job effectively today. I take ownership of my own development to ensure I am prepared for the continued upskilling that we are doing as an organization.
