Describe your job in 25 words or less: I am the bridge function between my clients’ needs and all Gartner resources, making sure my clients receive maximum value from their service.
What is your favorite part about working for Gartner? My favorite part about working for Gartner is the fact that I am challenged every day: I am forced to get out of my comfort zone, and that’s why I am continuously learning new things.
How has Gartner helped you in your career development? I have gained a lot of confidence! Gartner has helped me gain conviction in the high-level conversations with C-level executives that I am having day in, day out.
What advice do you have for prospective Gartner candidates? Show your no-limits mindset and will to win. Nothing is more important than having that willpower to do anything you need to be successful.
What has been your proudest moment at Gartner? My proudest moments within Gartner were becoming the No. 1 intern in Gartner U.K.’s first internship program and contributing to Gartner within two weeks of being live in the full-time role!
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? I enjoy it the most when I see that my clients are satisfied — when we have helped them gain new insights into technologies, mitigate risks, achieve cost savings… basically whenever they have a ‘WOW’ moment!
What advice would you give to recent new hires? The best advice I can give to recent new hires is to keep it simple and follow best practices. Leverage everyone around you. You can learn the most from others who are already successful in their roles!
What are 3 words that best describe you? Curious, driven, open-minded
What is one thing unique about you that people would be surprised if they knew? Being born in The Netherlands, I have traveled to more countries outside of Europe than inside of Europe… 🙂
If you could switch your job with anyone else within Gartner whose job would you want and why? Definitely Gene Hall — I would love to know his secret to achieving double-digit growth… and what it takes to lead a company like Gartner!
