Describe your job in 25 words or less: To drive business growth within the U.K. SMB sector.

What originally attracted you to Gartner? The brand, the opportunity to learn and the opportunity to earn.

What is your favorite part about working for Gartner? Gartner’s value proposition is incredible, and my favorite part about working for Gartner is helping clients overcome their most pressing challenges and succeed.

How has Gartner helped you in your career development? When I joined Gartner I was only 23. However, I was trusted immediately and given responsibility, I benefited from daily exposure to C-level executives, and was fortunate enough to be mentored by one of the best sales professionals you could wish to meet. Therefore, since joining Gartner I have developed significantly. What has been your proudest moment at Gartner? Being recognized as a Worldwide Top Achiever.

What are 3 career lessons you’ve learned while at Gartner? 1) Keep things simple. 2) Expect and embrace change. 3) Back yourself!

If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and why? Ian Poulter (Professional Golfer). The world has seen better golfers but the world has not seen many better golfers with less talent. I have always admired Ian Poulter because he has made the most of himself. He has had to work very hard for what he has achieved, he has the heart of a lion and he always delivers under pressure. He also stands out because he has achieved success in his chosen field while being a great husband and father, too. This balance is very important for me so I would love to learn from him.

What are 3 words that best describe you? Perfectionist, driven, honest.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within Gartner whose job would you want and why? Right now I would not switch with anybody.

Favorite Quote or Personal Mantra: Just do it.

Very much impressed by Pete’s response to the question “If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and why?”. What I like most about his response is that he is not only inspired by Ian Poulter’s professional achievements but also very much by his ability to maintain the fine balance between his personal & professional life. This truly exhibits his thoughts that for his family & profession. Great words Pete!
