What was your first role at Gartner? In my first role at Gartner I worked in our Fort Myers, FL, office as an SMB HTTP account executive where I supported vendor clients. After two years I was promoted to a Major Accounts EU account executive and relocated to Los Angeles, CA supporting end-user clients. I most recently relocated to San Francisco, CA, leading the Major Accounts End-User sales team, which supports some of the most well-known companies and digitally native organizations in the heart of the tech mecca. It’s been an incredible journey and it has only just begun!

How long have you worked at Gartner? I have been with Gartner going on 4 ½ years.

What makes Gartner a great place to work? The people, the clients, the limitless opportunities.

Describe your best employee. What unique qualities does he/she possess that makes them stand out? My best employee is someone who is highly motivated, understands our focus and priorities, and executes on them to drive results. It’s someone who embraces the Gartner growth mindset and strives for continuous improvement in his/her role. When interviewing a candidate, what are 3 things you look for? Conviction, integrity and will to win.

Describe your management style: I try to inspire my team members, not direct them. I try to help team members to focus on the right priorities that enable their success, and create a culture about learning from each other, challenging each other and cheering each other on.

What advice do you have for members of your team, or someone considering joining your team? We each have the same 24 hours in a day. Give your best effort, focus on what you can control, work hard, be brave, be honest and be human. Embrace the growth mindset. Gartner is a growth company, and there is unlimited potential for professional and personal growth. Success is in your hands, and Gartner fosters an environment to support your growth and development.
