Describe your job in 25 words or less: Driving attendance of high-quality research sales prospects to our global events portfolio, as well as managing existing relationships with clients who partner with Gartner.
Who has been a mentor for you here at Gartner? How have they helped you? I was given two mentors when I first joined. Both gave me invaluable advice when I first joined on how to be successful in this role, prioritize my time and build strong internal relationships.
What are 3 words that best describe Gartner? Exciting, fast-paced, evolving.
What has been your proudest moment at Gartner? Receiving the EAS Regional Top Achiever New Hire and Excellence in Leadership awards in my first year.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? Engaging with C-level executives on a daily basis, gaining insight into their world and then providing them with an opportunity to learn, network and interact with Gartner analysts at our events.
If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and why? Thor Heyerdahl — (captain of the Kon-Tiki voyage). I think this is a great example of someone challenging conventional wisdom in an age when people think they know everything. You can always learn new things and improve yourself by being open-minded and not forgetting that is the key to success. I would love to understand what drove him to take on such a challenge.
What are 3 words that best describe you? Relaxed, open and driven.
What is one thing unique about you that people would be surprised if they knew? I once got caught in a force 9 gale in the Adriatic Sea in a small yacht with no engine and had to sail 9 hours to safety.
