What originally attracted you to Gartner? The opportunity to work for the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company.
Who has been a mentor for you here at Gartner? How have they helped you? Fenella Scott mentored me during my first year at Gartner. It’s always great to have her feedback and suggestions on different primary research projects. Along with her analytical skills and vast knowledge that are backed with huge experience in market research practices and techniques, she’s a complete people manager and it has been a great experience working with her. She’s always available when you need her (despite the time zone difference) and is very responsive no matter how busy her day already is. She is very considerate of my strengths/weaknesses and is very proactive in helping me out wherever required — while giving me enough time/motivation/opportunity/guidance to improve my skills.
What is your favorite part about working for Gartner? The opportunity to work directly with the industry’s leading analysts and the opportunity to learn and grow within the company.
What has been your proudest moment at Gartner? My work was recognized with good project satisfaction scores and a Gartner Total Ownership Mindset Award within 6 months of joining the company, which made me proud of my work and progress.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? The new challenges that I face while managing unique research projects on a day-to-day basis. It keeps me on my toes and hungry for more!
If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
- Personally — Angelina Jolie — because I’m a fan!
- Professionally — Steve Jobs — it would have taken a tremendous amount of self-motivation to achieve what he achieved in his lifetime and I would have liked to learn from him.
If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?“Why didn’t Angelina Jolie marry me?”
On a serious note — I’m too young to decide the title of my life story as of yet. But if I really had to choose now, it would be “The journey so far” (hope the title is not already taken)!
What are 3 words that best describe you? Perseverance, creativity and dedication.
Favorite Quote or Personal Mantra: “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”
