Recently, Gartner associates from Sales, Proposals & Deliverables, Consulting, Executive Programs, and Technical Support from the Arlington, Virginia office participated in the 32nd annual Army Ten-Miler run at the Pentagon.

The Gartner team joined 35,000 other runners for the race, placing 25th out of 184 teams in the “All Comer’s Division.” The 10-mile run is an opportunity to build “esprit de corps” as well as a time to honor fallen heroes and their surviving families.

“My most humbling moment was watching a team of female Army soldiers help their wheelchair-bound teammate onto her prosthetic legs to finish the last 3 miles of the race,” said Julie Vida, Senior Executive Partner, Gartner Executive Programs and a former Commander in the United States Navy.

All proceeds from the run will benefit Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programs for soldiers and their families.
