Describe your team in 25 words or less: We are a team of 60+ marketing professionals who strive to deeply understand the needs of our customers and build effective integrated marketing programs that grow the business.

Why did you choose Gartner? I have been a Gartner client for the vast majority of my career. I’ve always been impressed with the analyst community and the incredible sales team. Additionally, the Gartner brand presents a huge opportunity for a career marketer like myself.

What was your first role at Gartner? My current role, Group Vice President, Corporate Marketing

How long have you worked at Gartner? 1.6 years

What makes Gartner a great place to work? I come into work each day excited to collaborate with such smart and motivated peers, as well as lead an inspiring team of the most dedicated and hard-working folks I know! I’m proud to work for a company that is open-minded and believes that good ideas can from any associate, regardless of level.

Share a fun fact about yourself: I was an orienteering champion at age 11 in Yorkshire, England.

Share a success story about your team: In August 2016, our team launched ThinkCast, Gartner’s first podcast channel, where insights from Gartner analysts and IT industry leaders are shared. Describe your management style:
In our team’s constant pursuit of focusing on the customer, I push them to think outside of the box and disrupt the status quo if needed. I ask them to prioritize impact activity — those things that help us meet our goals. I also make sure we have fun and support one another’s professional goals, all while working hard!

What role does your team play in Gartner’s success? The Corporate Marketing team includes marketing strategy and operations, role-based campaign marketing, digital marketing and regional marketing functions. The team is responsible for accelerating growth and driving innovation to ensure that our marketing programs have the greatest impact to the business. The team does this through simple, integrated and impactful marketing programs that quickly move buyers along their journey to becoming Gartner clients.


What are 3 main functions or job duties of your employees?

  1. Improve ROI on marketing programs through enhanced customer insights and more valuable content-led programs
  2. Overhaul processes and tools to better route prospective buyers to Sales teams
  3. Enhance Gartner’s digital presence by creating an experience aligned to the buyer’s journey and that brings the Gartner value proposition to life

What advice do you have for members of your team, or someone considering joining your team? Ask many questions during the interview and onboarding process! Marketing at Gartner is undergoing rapid evolution, and asking questions ensures associates are focusing on the right things and executing to the best of their ability. I also tell my team to not be shy about raising their hand for projects outside of their job scope. There is plenty of engaging work to go around and everyone has the chance to grow in our fast-paced company. We as leaders just need to know where your interests lie.
