Describe your team in 25 words or less: My team is driving growth from one global strategic account client. We are positioned as “strategic advisor,” making the new market by driving innovation with the client.
What was your first role at Gartner? I joined Gartner as account executive in 2008, then was promoted to Senior AE in 2010, to client director in 2012 and managing CD in 2014. I’m now an Area Manager.
What makes Gartner a great place to work? Gartner cares about their employees’ morale and personal growth and provides great recognition. It’s always fun to work with self-motivated colleagues for the vision and help clients to make the right business decisions!

When interviewing a candidate, what are 3 things you look for?
- Someone with great communication skills
- Driven by sense of purpose
Describe your management style: Gartner managers are trained to be great coaches to inspire team members, not direct them. I try to help team members to focus on the priority and make the culture about learning from each other and cheering on each other.
What role does your team play in Gartner’s success? My client has been selected as a global tier 1 account, first in Asia in 2012 within Gartner. My team is fully committed to the client’s success as well as our own.
What are 3 of the most important responsibilities/tasks of your team?
- Strong executive presence to help C-level clients be successful and provide business value accordingly
- Strategic planning to grow client base by understanding the value-selling approach
- Most of all, having fun and being confident in what we do!
If you could describe your team dynamic in one word, what would it be? “Caring.” We care about each other and clients, not only performance. Behind the growth, there are always “people”!
