Describe your team in 25 words or less: Over 250 professional, highly skilled and committed Service Associates who have an unwavering drive to exceed our clients’ expectations each and every day!

What was your first role at Gartner?  I came in as an Inside Sales Account Executive as part of a “pilot” to test the feasibility of having an inside sales organization at Gartner. The “pilot” was a success!

How long have you worked at Gartner? It will be 19 years this February. When I started in 1998, there were approximately 40 people in the Gartner Fort Myers office. There are now over 1,000 associates on the Fort Myers campus. It has been an incredible ride!

What makes Gartner a great place to work? The culture, the people, our client-facing value proposition and the ethics of what we do. Shortly after starting at Gartner, I recall thinking “If I can start and finish my professional career at this company, I will be a lucky man.”

What role does your team play in Gartner’s success? Client retention is Gartner’s No. 1 financial driver. The Service organization has the responsibility of ensuring our clients receive value that far exceeds their Gartner investment, in turn driving record-breaking retention results year over year.

What are 3 main functions or job duties of your employees?

  • 1. Securing phone-based client meetings with the right clients at the right time.
  • 2. During these client meetings, having a business conversation to identify the clients’ mission-critical priorities, to then link them to the right Gartner assets to drive success against those priorities.
  • 3. Providing the appropriate follow-up to the client to drive maximum client-facing value.
