Military Branch/Rank: U.S. Air Force/Captain

Job Title: Client Executive

Office Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Describe your job in 25 words or less: My job is to ensure overall client value for components of Air Force Space Command, and to manage our relationship with the DoD’s Nuclear Enterprise.

How has your military background helped you excel in your current career? My military background provided an incredibly strong foundation for my current career. Beyond opening doors for me, it taught me the importance of accountability, and of setting and meeting expectations. It also enhanced my ability to execute and (quite simply) to get things done.

What originally attracted you to Gartner? The opportunity to continue working with the DoD, while having the ability to support senior leaders who make major decisions toward the furtherance of the mission of the Air Force.

What is your favorite part about working for Gartner? The trust, freedom and flexibility that Gartner’s culture instills in its employees. Gartner gives you the tools and lessons needed to succeed, then gets out of the way and lets you be successful.

What are 3 words that best describe Gartner? Dynamic, growing and trusted.

What has been your proudest moment at Gartner? Overcoming the incredibly challenging environment in the DoD in 2013, when we were faced with sequestration and a government shutdown. With the support of my manager, I was still able to have a successful year despite these tremendous headwinds.casey-weinstein

What advice would you give to recent new hires? Focus on building relationships with your clients first. Establish trust by doing what you say you will do, when you say you will do it. Success will follow!

If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and why? Robert F. Kennedy, to learn about what he might have set about to accomplish as president.

What are 3 words that best describe you? Persistent, earnest and ambitious.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within Gartner whose job would you want and why? I’d like to join the events team — so I can scout out Winner’s Circle locations. 
