What originally attracted you to Gartner? I was originally attracted to Gartner’s amazing brand and culture of continuous improvement.
What is your favorite part about working for Gartner? My favorite part about working for Gartner is the ability to support clients in their critical decision making processes. We regularly work with clients who are, individually, at very different stages in their organization’s goal attainment process. Receiving client feedback about the positive impact Gartner has made for them and their organization is one of the best parts of the job!
How has Gartner helped you in your career development? Gartner has supported my educational goals by assisting me during the completion of my doctoral program. In addition, Gartner has supported my career development goal of working globally. After four years working on the East Coast of the United States, I successfully moved into a role working in Sydney Australia! Gartner was helpful and supportive through the entire process!
What advice do you have for prospective Gartner candidates? For prospective Gartner candidates, my best advice would be to research the role as much as possible and make an honest assessment of your abilities, career goals, and cultural fit for the role. Ask as many difficult questions as possible – we are very open to this in our discussions with candidates. Gartner works diligently to ensure that each candidate is a great match for the role; this is evidenced by the high caliber of employees across the company.

What is one thing unique about you that people would be surprised if they knew? I grew up on a small farm in Colorado, and was very involved in 4-H as a child. One year I was the Jr. Swine Champion showman (with a belt buckle to prove it!).
