In a recent question and answer session about Gartner in Southwest Florida, TJ Brown spoke about his love for the office, culture and environment at Gartner and in Florida. Read all his answers below:
Q: Besides Gartner, What was the main reason you moved to Ft. Myers (or the SW Florida region)?
A: Close to the beach. Easy access to major cities and vacation spots. Similar feel to the areas I grew up in.
Q: Please describe what it was like to find a home in Southwest Florida? What town do you currently live in?
A: I live in Ft. Myers. Finding a home was very easy compared to other cities. There are a ton of options available for houses, apartments, and condos.
Q: If you have a family (partner or children), describe what moving to Southwest Florida was like for them.
A: My fiancé relocated to Southwest Florida with me. The transition was pretty easy. Gartner goes above and beyond to provide everything you need during the relocation process.
Q: What is the weather like in Southwest Florida? What does the best day look like?
A: Southwest Florida weather is great. It never gets unbearably hot in the summer like other parts of the U.S. and the winters are still warm. You could be at the beach any day of the year!
Q: Since relocating, what is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
A: During my free time I enjoy playing paintball, going to the beach, and exploring different parts of Florida.
Q: What else has made the relocation easier, more fun, etc?
A: Gartner’s culture makes the relocation to Southwest Florida fun and exciting. There are always various events going on during and outside of work. Gartner also provides interest groups where you can get together with friends and coworkers who share similar interests.
Q: Any advice for someone who’s considering relocating for an opportunity with Gartner?
