Why do you like working at Gartner?

I love the incredible culture that Gartner provides. I can be the owner of business and collaborate with my peers and think creatively. The synergy is addicting! It’s such a well respected company which automatically makes you want to kick up your skill set and always strive for better with that no-limits mindset.

What advice do you have for someone just starting out in your role?

Take things one day at a time and be a sponge. There is so much to learn about Gartner and you won’t learn it all in one day. Ask questions and put yourself out there.

What part of your job do you enjoy the most?

I have the best gig in the company! Not only do I get to hire great minds but I also get to see them reach the highest level of success. I also love working in Fort Myers. It’s a tropical paradise, which lifts your mood. There’s so much to do in the community and Gartner hires so many people, so there is a huge support system.

Share a hobby you have or some fun fact about you:

Traveling. Gartner’s amazing vacation policy allows me to do that! I was a referral from my husband who works in Sales for Gartner. He’s in Club 300 (club for top performing Gartner Sales employees) so we’ve traveled to Monte Carlo, Switzerland, Hawaii, Italy, Mexico and the Caribbean.

What advice do you have for someone just starting out in your role?

You definitely want to leverage everyone around you and learn as much as you can. Everyone is so nice and helpful so take advantage of them and learn from them.

What part of your job do you enjoy the most?

Interacting with people from all walks of life. You get to learn about their backgrounds while looking for a specific profile, and there are so many different people who fit that specific profile.

Share a hobby you have or some fun fact about you:

I am a really big hiker and skier. I love traveling to places and being able to do that. I go to Wyoming in the summer and I did a road trip through California last year. I also ski in Vermont almost every other weekend during the Winter.

Be hungry and diligent. You have to truly believe in what Gartner stands for and be able to share that conviction with your candidates.

Watching one of my candidates or referrals make Winners Circle (an all-expense-paid trip for top-performing Sales employees) or get promoted. It is such a feeling of accomplishment and pride.
