Why do you like working at Gartner?
I love working in the fast-paced and stimulating environment of a company that’s in growth-mode. The opportunities, challenges and room for innovation make coming to work exciting. It also doesn’t hurt to work with some of the best and brightest; there is so much to be learned from your colleagues.
What advice do you have for someone just starting out in your role?
Dig in! Providing data in response to a request is often just addressing the tip of the iceberg. Always dig deeper to understand the context of the problem your clients are trying solve. By understanding the root of the problem you can help them address their critical business challenges.
What part of your job do you enjoy most?
Storytelling with data. I enjoy taking raw data and turning it into something meaningful that can influence thinking and decision making.
Share a hobby you have or some fun fact about you:
I have a master’s degree in Biohazardous Threat Agents and Emerging Infectious Disease, and I recently won a milkshake eating competition in my hometown of Rockville, MD. When I am not eating ice cream or dreading the next global pandemic I enjoy attempting to play golf.
