Why do you like working at Gartner?
Part of Gartner’s corporate strategy is to provide an environment for exceptional professional development, and you can see that everywhere in the business. Managers care about the professional development of their associates and their futures. Also, working in the Human Resources organization, our focus is always on attracting and retaining the best talent. I’ve seen firsthand that being surrounded by smart and creative colleagues only drives my desire to push myself professionally and be the best associate I can be.
What advice do you have for someone just starting out in your role?
Speak up! Ask questions and share your ideas. As a new member of the team — whether you’re a shy or outgoing person, someone with a lot of experience or just starting out — your ideas and experiences have value. Similarly, don’t be afraid to think outside of the box. Gartner is a company that supports and rewards your ability to continually improve and innovate in your role.
What part of your job do you enjoy most?
The people! Gartner hires intelligent, energetic and thoughtful people to join our team — something I always appreciate in my peers. I’m happy to wake up, go into the office and work with my team and colleagues because they care about me personally and professionally.
Share a hobby you have or some fun fact about you:
I’m an avid music lover, who’ll take any opportunity to see musicians and bands live. If I could get certified as a professional concert-goer, it would have happened over a decade ago.
