Title: The Future of Security Monitoring and SIEM
Presented by: Anton Chuvakin
Register: http://my.gartner.com/webinardetail/resId=2155623
Description:
Enterprise architects have to plan for IT deployments of ever-increasing complexity and deal with increasing risks. These trends create the need to expand security visibility throughout the entire stack of technologies. SIEM is a pivotal technology that provides security visibility today and it is likely to hold the same role for the next two to three years. Five core areas exist where SIEM faces opportunities for growth: new types of log and context data, shared intelligence, novel analytic algorithms, monitoring of emerging environments and application security monitoring.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- How SIEM tools and security monitoring are likely to evolve in the next 2-3 years?
- What your organization should be doing now to prepare for this future?
- What are some of the tips and tricks for using SIEM tools better today?
After registering you will receive a confirmation email with a calendar invite and instructions on how to join the webinar. View all upcoming webinars gartner.com/webinars.

Hi Anton,
I would love you make public a link with the webinar later on so I can access it later. About your research paper on SIEM, I am one of those that can’t wait to get a copy of it once published. Any idea about the dates? More interestingly, about the contents? 😀
very best,
Max
Re:SIEM futures paper was published back in May (see https://blogs.gartner.com/anton-chuvakin/2012/05/21/our-siem-futures-paper-publishes/)
My current SIEM work is to be published some time in November.
Will the webinars be recorded for later viewing?
My local time is 1 AM and 4 AM for the shows, so whilst I can stay up late if required, the lack of sleep will impact my next work day so I’d prefer not to.
