The economics of information is changing dramatically, spanning technology that includes storage and compute, new business models predicated on new information sources, and new revenue entirely from information monetization. Chief data officers need to leverage all to be effective.

The economics of information is changing dramatically, spanning technology that includes storage and compute, new business models predicated on new information sources, and new revenue entirely from information monetization. Chief data officers need to leverage all to be effective.

Information Risk, Security and Compliance Are Top Priorities for Chief Data Officers in 2016 by myself.

Although business intelligence and analytics are still the top priorities for CIOs, CDOs and other senior business leaders, the rapid rise in hacking, breaches, and information theft are leading to increasing priority being given to information risk, security and compliance.
