There was a time when I was a street reporter, and at that time, I used to get in trouble for reading the Times Metro. What “Times Metro,” you ask? The New York Times, Metropolitan Edition, I answer. My close friend Alex Wright — who never intended to work in journalism, I don’t think, unless Rolling Stone or Creem had been hiring — now finds himself working there, and a team with which he worked recently developed a social software app that I’m trying. My username is whita, and I’m supposed to appear as “whit,” at the location Gartner. Come on by and see how I waste my time when I’m not getting my $%^ kicked on FaceBook in Wordscraper.
