It's too bad you haven't applied yourself to deal with the issue of vendors taking more responsibility. You sound frustrated. I'm sorry to see that. I've left your comments on the blog so others can find them and judge for themselves. And no, I have no plans to retire. I tremendously enjoy my work. And I am not going to kiss you either. Your rant was not good enough!

Please Retire.

I hate too how analysts give me all sort of crazy advice. Talk about an industry that is built on sharades. Hmm. I am analyst X. I talk to vendor Y who pays me Then I turn to customer A who pays me to tell them what I think about my conversation with Vendor Y.

In the middle of this I will try to brand myself. I will make up all sort of stupid nomenclature in an attempt to be famous. Gen4, HyperInfoArchitectures, blah blah. Meanwhile I can't even fix my own computer and havent worked in Software since punch cards. I've never shipped product. In fact, I don't even know who to blame, so I blame everyone.

My rants should excite you and then make you want to call me, pay me and hope I give you a kiss.

My brother and his wife had the same problem with their inlaws on the other side of the country. The solution was simple: they all got Macs. Now it all just works.

Best part is that you can connect on the laptop and carry it around from room to room, using the built-in cam to point to the baby in the crib who can then see Grandma on the screen waving wildly -- all making for a more interactive and engaging experience.

Suggest you buy a Mac.

Microsoft's business model has always been about creatig problems so it can feed it's Eco system with service work.

M/s has never cared about user value just market exploitation.

Complaining about it's garbage just confirms it's strategy is working.
