Watching the Google Blogs…

It’s sort of perverse that I’m sitting here thinking about writing a blog post on blog posts that Google has written. Today, I learned that Google now supports drawing inside Google Docs. So I have to go trawling the blogs to find out about product changes….

Yesterday, I learned that Google is now apply semantic analysis to its search process.

Both of these are important. As are a LOT of other developments that just keep rolling out, like those around Chrome and other Google initiatives.

What I don’t know is how this pattern of continuous improvement is impacting both users and Google.

  • Do users notice the changes? How do these changes percolate through the user community?
  • Is Google getting enough credit for all the improvements they continue to make to their products? (The pace has to intimidate those used to long-release cycles – like every 6 months!)
  • How are GAPE administrators dealing with the flood of changes?
