Global IT Council Announced

Gartner has established a Global IT Council aimed at engaging the global IT community in collaborative activity to address two challenging issues – “cloud computing” and “IT maintenance” – that broadly affect IT industry progress and impact large companies.
The Councils were announced by Gartner Research Senior Vice President Peter Sondergaard during a special CIO session on Tuesday at Symposium/ITxpo, where CIO attendees listened to an overview of the Councils given by Daryl Plummer, David Mitchell Smith and David Cappuccio, the Gartner analysts leading the effort.
