I think you may have a slight "skewing" of the stats due to the topic. Since the first of the year, I've only seen a slight up-tick of Chrome users coming to my blog. The stats have moved from a little under 5% at the first of the year, and now it is slightly under 7%. I've seen the same type of increase in Safari as well. IE has dropped from 55% to about 43% and Firefox has been stable at about 35% all year. I personally use Chrome and think that it is a lot faster than FF or IE. But, when I ask my peers what they are using, most still use IE (especially IE 6 for work) or FF.
(Now that's my 2¢ -- which is probably more than you wanted.)
