Follow Me on Twitter

by Nick Gall  |  October 21, 2008  |  4 Comments

I’m finally on twitter now, and I’m happy to report that it hasn’t been the major time sink I feared it would be. I think in large part this is due to how simple the interface and functionality are. Contrast this with Facebook, which has infinite interface and functional (aka apps) knobs and levers to play with and is a huge time sink. I think it is FB that made me fear twitter.

My twitter handle is — what else — ironick!

It’s so ironick that it took you so long. After all, you were one of the major forces behind the story that we actually blog right here. Try the Tweetdeck client and any of the iPhone apps like Twinkle. They work well.

Andy, yes it is ironic and at the same time completely expected. Blogging and working on enabling blogging were such a huge time sink, that I consciously refrained from diving into Twitter despite really wanting to and despite seeing all the “cool kids” moving in that direction. I’m glad I waited, because I did NOT have the free cycles; and I’m glad I’m finally (t)here because it is a lot of fun.
