My recent posts have been kind of heavy lately so here is something I have been wondering about for some time.
One of the things I used to like about Chicago O’Hare airport was that it was easy to know what time it was. Most of the airport signs featured a digital clock, so it was always easy to know what time it was. A little while back, the clocks all went dark and then I began to notice the lack of clocks at other airports around the world.
What’s happened, where have the clocks gone. It is not that suddenly time does not matter, although you may get a different impression if your flight is delayed or cancelled.
Casinos and shopping malls are about the only other places that I can think of that try to hide the time.
So what gives? I would think that having clocks around an airport make sense, after airlines strive to be on time.
I guess that flying has become more of a crapshoot and airports generate more revenue from your shopping than flying.
What have you seen? Opps gotta run or I will miss my flight.
